Biking in St. Kilda, Brighton

We went biking today...from Port Melbourne down to Brighton. Notice the little "cabanas" on the beach- they are for daytime entertaining and picnicing. We meandered our way back home through St. Kilda and had some lunch. Sunny all day 'til we got caught in a rainstorm on the way home! Melbourne's is like Texas weather.....just wait 5 minutes and it'll change.
Much love, AMC

The Great Ocean Road

Today- Thursday the 20th, Mark and I drove part of the Great Ocean Road. It was stormy the whole way down so we drove to Lorne and headed back. We went to several towns and Qdos, an art gallery/ hotel in Lorne. They have several sculptures on the grounds, paintings, photography, a ceramics studio and pond. Then we went to "Teddy's Lookout" where the view of the ocean, hills, road and river were amazing.

Sunday in the Bier Garten

Back in Melbourne- yea! I arrived on Saturday morning at about 9:30 am. A little jet lagged but I obviously felt energetic enough to hit a Bier Garten on Sunday! Mark and I met friends at a Belgium Bier Garten on St Kilda Road. Beer, music, friends, fun!
It is hot here in Mebourne. Dry and hot!!! The sun goes down at about 9 pm so it stays sunny and beautiful all day long. We walked on the beach in the morning, watched a volleyball tourney, picked up some shells and waded in the water. Then on to the garten. Good times.

Concert at Corner Hotel

The Corner Hotel is a bar/ concert venue in Richmond and a short walk from Mitch and Suzie's home. Mark, Mitch, Suzie and Johnny caught a concert there last Saturday night. Johnny took this pic. Two and a 1/2 weeks and I'll be there! Can't wait!

Mornington Peninsula and Winery

This weekend Mark, Suzie and Mitch drove the stretch of the Mornington Peninsula. They went to the beach, a winery and I am sure other fun stuff. It is getting warm in Melbourne! The beach they are at is the same one in a previous blog entry where Mark, Todd and I stood on the cliff overlooking the sand and ocean below. Gorgeous!
Love,
